While we can’t wait for the festival to get started, we know you’ll have lots of questions about what the festival will look like this year and how we are dealing with Covid-19. We are carefully monitoring government guidelines and will continually update this page if and when the situation changes. However, we have put a number of plans in place to keep you safe and to reassure those that might be worried.
What effect does the delay of STEP 4 have?
NONE. It’s disappointing that restrictions will still be with us for a while, but we’ve planned our festival based on STEP 3 conditions to make sure we’re ahead of the curve. All our safety measures as detailed below will remain in place and all your tickets remain unaffected.
Do I need to check in at the event?
Latest guidance requires all members of the audience, and not just the lead booker who purchases tickets, to register their details or scan the NHS QR code upon entry
Do I need to wear a mask or face covering?
Please follow the latest government guidance on the wearing of masks and face coverings.
Will any safety measures still be in place after legal restrictions have been removed?
Yes. We know that some can’t wait to see live events and others are still a little cautious. We want everyone to have a good time so the following measures will remain in place after the planned relaxation of government restrictions:
- one-way systems
- socially distanced seats of at least 1m
- contact tracing
- additional cleaning between events
- sanitiser stations
- specially tailored events with no intervals to avoid large gatherings
What do I do if I test positive for Covid-19?
If you test positive or experience Covid-19 symptoms within 10 days before visiting one of our events, please remain at home, seek medical advice and follow government guidance. Please contact the box office where we will happily credit your tickets towards the 2022 festival.
Can I get a refund if the event is cancelled because of Covid-19?
Yes. In the event that Covid-19 forces the cancellation of a performance, affected audience members will be entitled to a full refund unless they choose to donate the price of their ticket to the festival.
Will there be an interval?
No. To avoid large crowds gathering in one place, we have tailored all of our events to last roughly 70-75 minutes.
Will there be refreshments?
While there will be no intervals, we hope to be able to offer refreshments before our performances. We are working hard with all our venues and partners to make sure you experience a wonderful festival.
Can I buy tickets on the door?
To avoid disappointment it is always best to book online and select your socially distanced seats where you like them. Some tickets may be available on the door, but with reduced capacities in all our venues we expect tickets to sell fast.
How do I buy tickets with 3 people in a row?
We’ve set aside some groups of 3 seats in a row for slightly larger bubbles/households. Just give our help line a call on 01539 266200.
I’m not confident enough about attending live events yet, can I watch events online?
Whether you can join us or not, almost all of our events will be available to watch online. We have brought in a great film crew, and our streamed concerts will be available from 13th August onwards once the live festival has finished.
