With the morning mist rising off the lakes, the majestic contours of the hills and the breathtaking views atop their peaks, it’s no wonder so many musicians, painters and writers found inspiration here in an UNESCO world heritage site.
We absolutely love getting out and experiencing everything nature has to offer right on the festival’s doorstep and we wanted to share this with you!
Starting in 2021, we’ve teamed up with Steve Watts from Lakeland Walks & Talks to give you a guided tour of some of our favourite spots, starting off with the stunning surroundings of Grasmere (just a few minutes up the road from Ambleside). We’ll see Rydal caves, Grasmere village (for some famous Gingerbread – our treat) and Loughrigg summit, one of the most spectacular panoramas in the Lake District.
